What are the upload requirements for the Digital Library?

Your Digital Library Administrator must configure the Digital Library system so that you can install and use the Digital Library Uploader. These instructions are included in the Digital Library Administrator’s Reference Guide.

All users have the ability to upload an asset (a logo) when they place an order in the system.  This is the only instance that all users can upload; otherwise, only System and Brand Admins can upload. See "Import Assets (Using the Browse for Import Interface).

Note that you must have the necessary permissions to install this software on your computer. That is, the Digital Library Uploader must be installed from a local or domain administrator's account. If you do not have these permissions, contact your system administrator.

Macintosh OS X
On Macintosh OS X, the Digital Library Uploader plugin is tested on 64-bit Safari, 32-bit Chrome and 64-bit Firefox browsers. It has been tested for OS X 10.8 and 10.9 (Mavericks).

NOTE: Older Macintosh machines running OS X 10.6 on 32-bit hardware cannot support 64-bit browsers, and hence cannot support the Digital Library Uploader. To identify these older machines, look to see if they have the 32-bit Core Duo CPUs (as opposed to the newer Core 2 Duo, i5 and i7 processors).

NOTE: If you are using a Macintosh computer and cannot see the Digital Library Uploader, try reducing the size of the browser window. (When a Macintosh browser is expanded to full screen, this dialog box is hidden.)

On Windows operating systems, the Digital Library Uploader plugin requires 32-bit browsers, on either Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer. It has been tested for Windows 7 and Windows XP.

When Your Digital Library Release is Updated
When the Digital Library is updated to a new release, you will be prompted again to install the updated Digital Library Uploader. Clear the cache on any of the browsers you use to run the Digital Library. Otherwise, you may not be accessing the latest version of the Digital Library Uploader.

On Macintosh systems, you may need to manually remove the following files before reinstalling the Digital Library Uploader:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/NPDragAndDropPlugin930.plugin/Applications/Digital LibraryUploader.app
